Graphic design students, faculty and staff—there’s still time to enter your best work in The Adobe® Design Achievement Awards! The international competition, which began in 2001 and was, established to “ … celebrate student and faculty achievement reflecting the powerful convergence of technology and the creative arts” is being held in partnership for the fourth year in a row with Icograda (International Council of Graphic Design Associations) the world body for professional communication design.

The Adobe® Design Achievement Awards (ADAA) is free and open to students, faculty and staff of all higher education institutions, who are invited to enter work digitally produced using Adobe’s software in any of 13 categories, including Application Development, Mobile Design, Game Design, Animation, Motion Graphics, Illustration, Packaging, Photography and Print Communications. As described by Ann Lewnes, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Adobe in a December 7th press release calling for entries, “The Adobe Design Achievement Awards features work from some of the most innovative students around the world. We’re privileged to provide them with the tools they need to design groundbreaking projects.”

Winning contestants will receive round trip tickets to the 2012 Adobe MAX conference and two night’s lodging in Los Angeles, where they will be awarded Adobe software and a cash prize in addition to other prizes. Semifinalists from the first submission session will be announced in February 2012 but two more sessions are still open, ending April 27 and June 22, 2012 respectively. Winners will be chosen by an international panel of experts to be announced January 2012.
