Offset 2012 is taking place this year in Dublin from 9-11 March 2012. The conference, now in it’s fourth year, attracts creatives and speakers from around the world and is currently setting the design world alight with pre-event buzz.
Offset is the brainchild of Peter O’Dwyer, Bren Byrne and Richard Seabrooke, who are all creatives living and working in Dublin. Since inception the festival has become Dublin’s premier creative event, attracting speakers and visitors from all over the world. Since it began, “OFFSET has produced over 100 hours of presentations, workshops, debates, interviews and Q&A’s with some of the leading creatives in the world, several large scale gallery shows and some proper full-on party nights.” (via Offset)

This year, speakers include a vast array of global figures. Among them Jessica Hische, a letterer, designer and illustrator whose clients include Tiffany & Co., The New York Times, Penguin Books, Target, Leo Burnett, American Express, and Wired Magazine. Jessica has the accolade of being named a “Person to Watch” by GD USA, among other recognitions, and as well as being personally profiled in many magazines, she currently serves in the Type Directors Club Board of Directors, dividing her time between San Francisco and Brooklyn.
Other notable speakers include Paula Scher and Michael Beirut of Pentagram, an agency with offices in London, Berlin, Austin and New York, and clients including the Alliance for Downtown New York, Benetton, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Knopf, the Walt Disney Company, and a whole range of global companies.

The conference is over three days, with the first speaker beginning at 10am and the last finishing at 7pm. OFFSET2012 delegates also have the opportunity to add to the conference by being selected to talk for 10 minutes on the second room stage; speakers will be selected from those suggesting topics before the event and 15 attendees will be offered the chance to talk.
