The Durst Organization is working with The Port-Authority to help complete the massive project and Cushman & Wakefield is the commercial real estate broker in charge of filling the tower with tenants. Stanley Donwood’s LA Show

Artist and designer Stanley Donwood’s latest show is currently on display at Subliminal Projects in Los Angeles, entitled “Lost Angeles”. The main piece of work in the show is an 18-foot panoramic piece depicting the City of Angels being destroyed by fire, flood and meteor storm in an apocalyptic illustration. Urban Speed Bumps: Designed for Engagement

Another busy weekday afternoon in New York City. Hurriedly walking past what at first glance appears to be another plywood construction panel I stopped midway and turned around. What I had thought was just another temporary façade, upon closer inspection revealed itself as art in progress. Or, rather an artistic intervention called Color Splash, part of a larger project Kaavya Jayapratap calls Urban Speed Bumps which are intended to encourage people to slow down, stop and enjoy the moment... Which Comes First: The Web Design or The Graphic Design?

Portfolio review—two words capable of striking fear into the hearts of artists and designers everywhere. It can be one of the most valuable exercises for creatives to undergo but many of us dread it. Not only is there critique of the work, but the actual presentation of the work itself. Digital, print, both? How many pieces? What to include, what to leave out? Underlying it all is the fact that portfolio review is typically done in an academic or... CONTINUE READING
