The Museum of Me has won the FWA Site of the Year award for 2011. Last week DC Comics revealed a new grayscale version of their new logo, which seemed to disappoint comic fans everywhere across the Internet. A week later, DC released their branding plans for the logo and everything came together very nicely. The logo itself doesn’t really scream “Comics!” or even remotely look like a comic book company at first glace. Good news for graphic designers arrived this week despite the somewhat disappointing retail holiday season. Major retail chain Kohl’s Corporation announced plans to open a new design studio in Santa Monica, California as well as expand their existing studio at 1400 Broadway in New York which may represent the possibility of much needed new jobs.
