ArtBridge is a New York City-based nonprofit organization committed to the development and support of local and emerging artists. Through unique initiatives like billboard-sized public art installations, exhibitions in its jewel box Chelsea gallery, and educational and public programing, ArtBridge is constantly introducing innovative ways to bring opportunity and exposure to emerging artists — and to connect the public to their art.
Create oversized Photoshop documents that will then be printed large-scale for our outdoor, public art exhibitions.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Accurately measure, photograph and document (drawing digitally or manually) construction fencing and sidewalk bridges at project sites (within the five boroughs) to be used for ArtBridge installations.
Translate your measurements, photographs and drawings into exacting plans to be used for building an exhibition-quality, digital print document.
Assemble and Pre-press Photoshop documents (PSD/PSB) for print, using high-resolution images (TIFFS/JPEGS) of selected artwork taken by professional photographer, then assemble the Photoshop document and upload to our preferred domestic printer.
Communicate with printer as needed to resolve any pre-press issues in order to assure excellent print results by a prescribed deadline.
Review and approve on-line proofs in advance of printing.
Help oversee installation of printed materials once they arrive on the construction site. Installation of exhibitions is completed by Union sign hangers.
